Rules and Regulations
1. Participant Qualifications
1.1 Contestants in the "Thai Massage Showdown" can be of any gender and age.
1.2 Each participating team consists of 2 members: a masseur and a massage recipient, who can switch roles.
2. Competition Format
This is a single-elimination tournament. The loser in each round will be immediately eliminated from the competition. Prizes will be awarded to the final winner. The semi-final round will determine the 3rd to 5th place winners.
3. Competition Procedure
3.1 The competition will be divided into 3 to 5 teams in each round, depending on the number of applicants.
3.2 Each competing side must demonstrate their Thai massage skills within a limited time.
3.3 Each contestant has 5 minutes to showcase their abilities per round.
3.4 On-stage judges will draw lots for numbers to determine the order of performance.
3.5 Each round of the competition will begin when the announcer gives a signal and end when the announcer blows a whistle.
3.6 In the preliminary rounds, contestants have complete freedom in their performance.
3.7 In the semi-final round, contestants must address a scenario drawn randomly by the judges.
3.8 In the final round, contestants have freedom in their performance again, but the judging panel will provide the massage recipient.
4. Judging Criteria
4.1 Judging will be based on massage techniques, unique postures, adaptability to situations, expression, movements, and overall Thai massage skills.
4.2 Each competition will be judged by 6 to 10 judges, always maintaining an odd number.
4.3 Judges will observe the performances from the sidelines of the competition area.
4.4 After each performance, the judges will convene on the field to deliberate.
4.5 Immediately after deliberation, the judges will announce the winner of each pairing.
4.6 The competition will proceed one pair at a time until a winner is determined.
5. Prize Categories
Prizes include 1 First Place award and 4 Runner-Up awards in descending order. The prize format is divided into two categories:

Monetary Prizes

Non-Monetary Prizes

Trophies for the top three winners.

Certificates of participation for all contestants.

6. Competition Area
6.1 The competition area must be rectangular, at least 26 meters wide and 12 meters deep, consisting of two competition zones, each measuring 12 meters x 6 meters, separated by a central area of 1 meter x 6 meters. All four corners of the competition area will be clearly marked.
6.2 The competition area will not have boundary lines.
6.3 If the event venue requires changes to the stage size, contestants will be notified before the event day.
6.4 The competition area is not a place for negative political commentary or hate speech. Therefore, any performances deemed inappropriate by the organizers are prohibited.
7. Attire
Contestants must dress appropriately, not provocatively, and in accordance with good morals.
8. Equipment
8.1 Contestants may use massage equipment during the competition.
8.2 Fireworks, firearms, pressurized cans, flammable liquids, and/or hazardous materials (including helium) are not allowed on or around the stage. This includes "silly string" and similar novelty effect products.
8.3 The use of powders or powder-like substances, or anything that leaves residue (e.g., glitter) or debris (e.g., confetti) on or around the stage is prohibited.
8.4 Gasoline-powered generators are not permitted.
9. Background Music
The Association will provide music for contestants to use during their performances. The music selection will vary. The overall mood of the competition music will be exciting, thrilling, and inspiring.
10. National Colors and Flags
10.1 Any national colors or flags of any country must be treated with appropriate respect at all times. Disrespecting or misusing any national colors or flags is prohibited.
10.2 If you intend to use a national flag in your performance or wish to place a flag in the performance area during your performance, you must do so respectfully.
11. Penalties
Contestants may be disqualified at the judges' discretion for violating any rules or inappropriate conduct, including but not limited to:
11.1 Using prohibited equipment, including unauthorized devices or tools.
11.2 Inappropriate attire.
11.3 Using inappropriate language or song lyrics.
12. Decisions of the Judging Panel
12.1 If the judging panel determines that any participant has not complied with the specified rules, conditions, and agreements, or intends to disrupt the event, the panel has the sole and absolute right to disqualify that participant and has the right to change, amend, or cancel the rules, regulations, conditions, and prizes as appropriate at any time.
12.2 The decisions of the judging panel are final in all cases and cannot be contested by the contestants.
12.3 The Association reserves the right to change the conditions, rules, and prizes (of equivalent value) without prior notice.
